Funders Network- Partners for Places

Award Focus: Matching grant opportunities for cities and counties in the United States and Canada to improve communities by building partnerships between local government sustainability offices and place-based foundations.

Eligible Entities: The proposal must be submitted by a team of at least two partners who are: (1) the sustainability director of a municipality or a county and (2) the local, place-based foundation(s).

Applications are due July 31, 2018. More Information.

Lowe’s Gives Foundation—Community Partners

Award Focus: Grant program supports undertaking high-need projects such as building renovations and upgrades, grounds improvements, technology upgrades, and safety improvements.

Eligible Entities: Nonprofit organizations and local governments are eligible to apply.

Applications are accepted August 6, 2018 – September 28, 2018. More Information.

National Endowment for the Arts— Our Town: Creative Placemaking Grants Program

Award Focus: Grants support projects that integrate arts, culture, and design activities into efforts that strengthen communities by advancing local economic, physical, and/or social outcomes.

Eligible Entities: Organizations, Indian tribes, and state or local government agencies are eligible to apply.

Applications are due August 9, 2018. More Information.
