Description: BRS, Inc. is seeking an environmental planning / grant management professional for a full or part time position as a Project Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing woman-owned firm, with flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home independently. If the candidate is chosen for employment, he or she should ideally be located in greater metropolitan New York City / Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities: Project management; oversight of existing publicly funded grants; development of studies, reports and recommendations in the areas of brownfield planning, climate resiliency planning, and urban planning; conduct community outreach; track and manage budgets; prepare grant applications, cooperative agreement packages, and proposals; research potential funding sources; fulfill grant reporting requirements; conduct demographic research; participate in meetings via conference call or in person; serve as a liaison between clients and federal and state regulatory agencies; and conduct other planning and grant management activities as needed.

Qualifications: The ideal applicant will be able to work independently and will have experience in urban planning, grant writing, budget management, contractor management, brownfield financing, project management, and community development. The applicant must be able to work independently and provide significant contributions in a multi-disciplined team approach to establishing site redevelopment strategies that fulfill acquisition, funding and strategic planning needs and considerations for our public sector clientele. An understanding and knowledge of regulations, subcontractor management, USEPA brownfields program, climate resiliency, and public sector program management experience is desired.

Requirements: Degree in urban planning, public policy, public administration, or related field is required. The candidates should possess at least five to ten years of experience. New Jersey Professional Planner license and AICP certification is preferred. Very strong written and verbal skills are required.
